You may visit www.bidvid.com at any time without registering.  When you visit our website data may be saved on our servers in an anonymous format, as is the website you visit us from, the website that you proceed to from our site, and your IP address.  As this is being done, no personal data is being associated with you.  

In order for you to make full use of our website and actively participate in auctions by placing bids, we do require some personal information from you so that you can actively participate on www.bidvid.com.  Therefore, we request that you agree to the collection and storage of your data and register at www.bidvid.com.  You can revoke your consent at any time.  Once you are registered with Bid Vid, you are asked to choose a username and password which enables you to take advantage of all our services.  

Data Collection

Personal data is information needed to identify you, for example your name, address, date of birth, e-mail address, mobile phone numbers, etc.  With your consent, personal data is recorded and processed by Bid Vid, in particular:

1.    When you register with us
2.    When you buy bids
3.    When you win an auction

We collect personal data only to make it possible for you to use Bid Vid and our services.  The data is stored only for as long as it is necessary to process bids you have bought and auctions you have won.

We will only collect your account or credit card data if this is necessary to process payment.  We will never store any financial details including credit / debit cards.  

We do not  store credit card details nor do we share customer details with any third parties.

We will collect and store usage data, which is personal data that identify the user, as well as information on the Bid Vid services the user utilizes, for example your user name, password and your IP address when you place bids or win an auction.  This will enable Bid Vid to provide promotional offers to first time users and to have special auctions such as first time winner auctions.    

Use of the Data

Personal data such as name, address, etc is processed after an auction is won to enable shipment of the item won.  We ask for your e-mail address so that we can stay in contact with you by e-mail.  We need your account data or credit / debit card data only when you are purchasing bids for the purposes of participating in auction.  Financial information is never stored by us.  

If you are successful in auction, you will be required to make payment of shipment fee / postage and packaging and confirm personal details for the purposes of communicating with you regarding orders, to process auctions, marketing retentions, to process other transactions and for arranging delivery.  Similarly, we use your data in order to inform you of marketing promotions or to enable third parties authorised by us to perform technical, logistical or other services.  All data is stored securely on our servers.

When visiting www.bidvid.com from a public or shared computer, certain information about you, such as your user name may be visible to others who may use that computer after your use.  It is your responsibility to ensure private information is removed from the public or shared computer should you choose to use one.  

Forwarding Personal Data to Third Parties

Bid Vid will not release any personal information on you or forward this to third parties insofar as you have not given your express consent to do so, unless we are required to do so by law.  Your personal information may be passed onto third parties only if necessary to process a payment transaction or a business transaction with our partners.  Essentially these are reputable businesses that strictly comply with applicable data protection regulations.  

Bid Vid may disclose personal information to respond to legal requirements, enforce our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, respond to claims that a listing or other content violates the rights of others, or protect anyone’s rights, property and or safety.  This information will be disclosed under the applicable laws and regulations.

The information in your Bid Vid account and your profile is password protected.  Please note that you are not permitted to provide your password to anyone else.  Bid Vid will never ask you for your password in e-mails that you receive unexpectedly or that you did not request.  Please remember to log out of your account and close your internet browser window when you leave the site; we assume no liability for the abuse of login and passwords used.

You can view the information on your Bid Vid account at anytime by using your username and password to log into your account.  As such the information may be updated at anytime.
